Ans. if there are multiple tasks than we need to manage the memory, files, graphics displays,different i/o devices which includes buffering of the IO applications, security, power management and synchronization among tasks etc. So, all these functions are easily performed by real time operating system.It also includes different scheduling algorithms required for completing task within deadline.
Q. Why Railway Reservation is a soft real time system ?
Railway reservation system is an interactive applications where response is expected within few seconds. If it takes minutes several minutes and so on then its deadline is missed & we say that the performance has degraded.
